Welcome to Pego Golf Society, a Society formed in 2003 by a group of golfers keen to involve themselves in organised golf outings within the Costa Blanca (North) area. Setting up the Society involved the election of Office Bearers and the drawing up of a constitution by which the Society would be run and much of the success of today's Society is attributable to the hard work and foresight of those involved in these aspects in the early days.
Initially the Society travelled to a number of courses up and down the Costa Blanca, including Oliva Nova, La Sella, Alicante, Alenda, Benidorm, Bonalba, El Bosque and El Plantio establishing a worthy reputation as a friendly Society at these courses.
The recently available membership offers at both Oliva Nova and La Sella, coupled to a changing economic situation meant a radical rethink of how and where the Society should manage its play days. Following a Special General Meeting it was agreed that the Society would base its play days at Oliva Nova, only travelling to other courses when Oliva Nova was not available to the Society. This arrangement remains in place. The Society participates in the Costa Blanca League competition, competing against other similarly minded Societies, and is currently in the 1st Division of these leagues.

Membership of the Society is limited to 100 and for the most part we have around 95+ members of whom 45 to 50 turn out to play each week. All prospective members are vetted and must have (max) handicaps of 28 for men and 36 for ladies. Current Handicap Certificates are a pre-requisite for prospective members.
The Society operates within the rules set by the Spanish Federation with our handicap system fully computerised and updated after each play day.
The Society also has an active social side so that members, their partners and friends can meet away from the golf course in relaxing surroundings and add to the friendly nature of the Society.
The recent introduction and continuing development of the Society Web Site has been a significant boost to keeping members (and prospective members) up to date with Society matters.
Contact with the Society is via the Web Site or by telephone (No. 680 393 831)
